I know it is an interesting name for a website but there is
logic for choosing this name which I think you will agree with.

When anyone buys a house they will usually have a home
inspection done before they buy it. They want to be sure there are no problems
they are not aware of. They will go to the internet and type in home inspectors
new york or the home inspector new york and search for a local professional
home inspector that will reveal problems in the home before they buy it.

I created this site not as home inspector but as a homebuyer.
I am looking at from someone who has bought my own home.

My home buying experience led me to see that my original
home inspector did not identify everything that could have been shown upfront.
That is why I had to go with a second one.

I am not going to speak ill of any home inspectors in New
York per say, but I will recommend one that I have faith in who is licensed,
insured and a member of the national association of home inspectors.

I feel that way you will not have to go through the
experience that I did and you can have the peace of mind that your inspection
was done right.

In addition to this, I want to educate home owners on how
home inspections work and give you enough knowledge to confidently see if the
home you are buying has problems, or, if you are like most homeowners and would
not know where to look for home problems, make an informed decision should you

Before I got started I did not know how to tell if my piping
was not working properly of if my water pressure was too much or too little, if
my air conditioning components or hvac system was in need of repair, or if I

as a problem with a house … it is just not something we deal with very often.

And one word of warning. You cannot rely on an organization
like the Better Business Bureau to vouch for a company.

Most people are not aware of this, but the Better Business
Bureau is not any type of official governing body like their name implies and
they are actually paid by the businesses they represent! Can you say conflict
of interest? It is a very eye opening story about the BBB that you might want
to check out.

It is also important that you know what organizations a home
inspectors should belong to like the National Association of Home Inspectors,
or NASI and what type of state contractor’s license they hold?

Is the owner of the company a Home Inspector or just a
guy/gal with a company who has run out of places to get fired from and started
his own business? If so, I doubt he/she has insurance and should something bad
happen to your home you may be in for quite a “shock”.

Most inspections should be in depth. Will your home
inspector make sure it is done that way? I could go on and on but you get the
picture.
